The Mighty Tri Girls

The Mighty Tri Girls began in 2004 with 10 women. Since then, over 100 women have crossed the finish line of their first triathlon.

We primarily train for all-women’s events in the Trek and Irongirl race series. Check out their websites, and .

These events consist of a 1/2 mile swim (don’t panic), a 13 mile bike, and a 3 mile run or walk.

If you are thinking, "Oh, I could never do that!" – well maybe not right now, but you will be able to in a few months! Training begins in February and goes through July and maybe into August depending on the event(s) you chose.

My goal is simple, to bring more women into the sport, and guide you through an unforgettable experience. I want to establish a physically as well as an emotionally safe place to be a beginner. I want women to feel the joy and exhilaration of endurance sports and competition – regardless of their age, size, skill level, or fitness level. Most women have never felt this.

You need no experience – you don’t even have to swim well (yet), you do not have to have all the right equipment. All that you need is the desire to commit to doing something extraordinary.

I believe we all want to be challenged in different ways throughout our lives.

The human spirit is quite amazing. Often we simply need someone to point us in a new direction. I hope I can be that someone for you.
